Football camp set for June 1 and 2
The 1st annual TF40 (The Fastest Forty) Football Skills Camp will be held Friday and Saturday, June 1st and 2nd, 2012 at Greenfield Recreation Park Soccer Fields #3 & #5. Hours for the camp will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and is open for kids ages 7 to 14 at the time of the camp. This camp will focus on technique and agility work over the 2 day period. Participants will be grouped according to age and should wear shorts, t-shirt and cleats (no other equipment required). The cost is $45.00 per attendee ($25.00 for TF40 members). All participants will receive a camp t-shirt and medal.
Each player will train with highly skilled former NFL players and coaches as well as top notch college and high school coaches from around the area. Below is a list of some of the coaches that are scheduled to appear:
ORION MARTIN: Former player from GW Danville, All ACC defensive end for VA Tech under Coach Frank Beamer, former Miami Dolphins player and current graduate assistant coach at VA Tech.
JOHN MCGREGOR: An expert in pro style offenses, John’s coaching resume includes success at the professional, collegiate and high school level. He has been an assistant with the Atlanta Falcons and the Arena League Albany Firebirds as well as an assistant coach at Boston College, Ohio University, Florida State and Washington & Lee University.
GEORGE ?KILA? MILLER: Collegiate DII level coach and former William Fleming High School head coach (3 time Timesland Football Coach of the Year & 3 time All Roanoke Valley District Coach of the Year) and Athletic Director.
HASKEL STANBACK: Former Atlanta Falcons running back.
GREG EMERSON: Former Ferrum College football player, and current Lord Botetourt High School assistant coach.
DAN LYTHGOE: Former Potomac State football player, weight lifting coach with TF40.
CHAD HUDDLESTON: President and coach of local AAU football organization.
MARK HARRISON: Owner of TF40 (The Fastest Forty), and former Ferrum Football player and local high school assistant coach.
