Jeep hits house on Botetourt Road in Fincastle
The jeep hit the front side of this house on Botetourt Road.
A mother and child were taken to a local hospital after striking the home of Geraldine Baker on US 220 at 283 Botetourt Road noted Jason Ferguson of Botetourt EMS. The accident happened about an hour ago, but details were sketchy as to why the vehicle left the road. The SUV was traveling north on US 22o about 100 yards from Leonardo’s Pizza when it left the highway crossed the southbound lane and proceeded into the yard of a home owned by Baker.
The vehicle struck the left corner of the home. Ferguson noted there was significant structural damage to the house and the vehicle was smashed up badly as well.
The driver and her child were not identified and have been transported to a local hospital. Baker was not at home at the time of the incident.
EMS and law enforcement were on the scene where 2 people were taken to the hospital.
