Photos: Read Mountain variety show features eclectic mix of talents
On Friday, May 4, Read Mountain Middle School held its annual Variety Show. This year there was a true diversity of acts; we had singing, dancing, clogging, and drumming – on buckets! There was even a classical flute performance and a display of pen-tapping on a tabletop. One performer entertained with four separate guitar selections as well, shaping the evening into a true display of variety and talent. There was a large crowd of parents and friends in attendance, and the Read Mountain “Starz” who graced the stage truly did shine with talent! Performers and acts were as follows:
Mary Grace Sawyer, accompanied by Cody Thompson, singing “Grenade” by Bruno Mars
Alex Boardwine, bucket drumming
Rachel Cahoon, singing “Listen to Your Heart” by Roxanne
Kaitlyn Benois, clogging performance to “Teach Me How to Jerk”
Alayna Link singing “Someone Like You” by Adele
Daniel Schrader and Jadon Reed, pen-tapping performance on a tabletop
