American Red Cross Blood Drive

 

You have the power to make a difference in someone’s life. Donate blood at the Greenfield Center in Daleville on Thursday, May 24 from Noon – 6pm. It’s easy to volunteer to donate blood, call 1-800-REDCROSS (1-800-733-2767) or sign-up online at www.redcrossblood.org.

Senior Scholars Thrive at The Glebe

 

 

The Glebe at Daleville continues its commitment to active retirement and lifelong learning by offering half-day seminars led by professionals in their respective fields. All programs begin at 10:00 a.m. and run through 1:00 p.m., followed by lunch which is included in the $25 program fee. All seminars are open to the public.

 

Red State, Blue State: The Presidential Electoral Process, the second program, presents the original intent of the founding fathers as to the presidential electoral process and how that process is influenced by socio-economic issues. Taught by Hollins University’s Chair of Political Science, Dr. Jong Oh Ra, this seminar will be held on Friday, May 18, 2012.

Seating is limited. Registration is by telephone or email, and must be pre-paid by check or cash. Two participants enrolling together pay a discounted rate of $40 per couple per program.
