BV’s Cathy Benson grabbed her daughter’s Nikon Cool Pix and captured this series of pics from her front yard about 5:20 p.m. on June 1st.  The area would be some where in the vicinity between Grove Hill Road and Old Fincastle Road.

” I watched the sky through the camera. I saw this little jet form. Then it sort of swirled.  From what I could tell suddenly it looked like a funnel. It probably was down a minute or more before it began to break up. I was stunned,” said Benson. “I ran in and told my children to go to the basement because I saw some motion in a cloud above my house. ”
