Cooling shelter at Lord Botetourt will close tonight; others open Saturday

Fincastle, VA – The following schedule changes have been announced:

The 24-hour shelter and cooling station at Lord Botetourt High School will close at 7:00 PM on Friday, July 6.

As previously announced, the cooling stations at the Buchanan, Blue Ridge and Fincastle Libraries will be open from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Friday, July 6 and Saturday, July 7. Bottled water will be available from these locations.

Non-potable water will be available from behind the Buchanan, Eagle Rock and Glen Wilton Fire Stations; residents must furnish their own containers.
