Fall athletes at James River and CAMS required to attend July 29 meeting
The Central Academy Middle School and James River High School athletic departments will hold a required fall meeting on Sunday, July 29 at 6:30 p.m. at James River High School. The meeting will cover the Botetourt County Concussion Policy, the Botetourt County Drug and Alcohol Policy, Drug Testing Policy, as well as VHSL and school rules and information. All athletes must attend this meeting accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to hear this information before being allowed to begin the first day of fall sports practice.
A makeup meeting will be held Monday, July 30 at 6:30 p.m. at James River High School. Again, athletes and their parents must attend one of these two meetings before being allowed to participate in athletics at CAMS or James River for the fall sports season.
If you attended the June 4, 2012 meeting at CAMS, you do not need to attend this meeting. Also, folks must be present for the entire meeting in order to be given credit for attendance.
Any questions may be directed to Sheila Proffit, athletic director at James River High School or Emily Gordon, athletic director at Central Academy Middle School.
