Parks and rec lists upcoming camps and other activities for kids

* July 15 to July 17 Fincastle Soccer Camp at Greenfield Recreation Park. Time is 6pm to 8pm.
* July 15 to July 17 Fincastle Volleyball Camp at Fincastle Baptist Church, 6pm to 8pm.
* July 28 to July 20 Fincastle Cheerleading Camp at Fincastle Baptist Church, from 6pmto 8pm.
If you have not preregistered your children, feel free to bring them at the time of the camp and a fee of $5.00 per sport will be collected.

* July 16 through July 20, 2012 Summer Art Camp at Hilltop Studios, from 9:00 am to 12:00 Noon. Ages 6 to 12. Cost is $155.00 due at first day of camp. To register, contact Meagan Stump at (540) 529-3632 or email her at meagan@hilltopstudios.org.

* ONE OF A KIND SUMMER SOFTBALL CAMP!
The Virginia Pride Softball Summer Camp is a three-day camp held July 24, 25 and 26, from 9am to 4pm at Botetourt Sports Complex in Troutville, Virginia. Participants will receive instruction in fielding, batting, defense and game strategies from Rick Anderson Softball, LLC and his staff, which is comprised of college coaches from the area as well as some of the best players in the country.
The camp is open to players ages 8 to 18 and will be set up into groups by age. Participants are required to bring their own equipment (bat, gloves, helmet, shoes, catcher’s gear). In the event of inclement weather, a make-up day will be held on July 27, 2012.
For Ages 11 and Under: One Day Session $75.00; Ages 12 and Over is a Two Day Session with a cost of $150.00.

* PLEASE NOTE: Summer Archery Camp originally scheduled for July 5, 6 and 7 has been rescheduled for July 23, 24 and 25.
