“Miss Hope  for Huffman” womanless pageant held at Pomegrante on Friday night July 27,  as a fundraiser for Troutville  firefighter John Huffman was raucous and sometimes naughty, but all for a good cause. The joint was packed! Music, raffles, a 50-50, and an auction later in the night provided plenty of entertainment to get dollars for Huffman. He is a Troutville firefighter who is receiving treatment for cancer. He was on hand to be on stage for the event.

Brad Cutright beat out 12 other competitors to claim the title of Miss Hope for Huffman. He is a dispatcher for the Botetourt County Sheriff’s Department where Huffman;s wife is employed. Scott Paderick the Troutville fire chief was “Miss Entertainment.”
