Helen Tippie, past president of Troutville Lions Club, visited the Christian Free Clinic in Botetourt to present a check for $200 to Executive Director Jenny Daniels. Each year the Troutville Lions Club donates funds to community services wthat are raised through a series of fundraising events conducted throughout the year.
The Christian Free Clinic in Botetourt is held Tuesday evenings in the Sunday School wing on the lower level of Fincastle Baptist Church at 7330 Roanoke Road. Registration is from 5:30 to 6:30. Services are provided to Botetourt County residents who do not have health insurance and do not have available resources to self-pay for their care. The Troutville Lions depend on membership to support community needs. They meet on the second and fourth Monday of the month at the Troutville Town Hall. Those interested in joining should contact Troutville Lions Club President Bob Venable at 400-7420.
