Rader named to Bank of Fincastle Board

H.M. Williamson, Chairman of the Board at The Bank of Fincastle, is pleased to announce that John W. Rader, Jr. has been appointed to serve on the bank’s Board of Directors.

Rader is a graduate of Lord Botetourt High School and the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia where he concentrated in Finance. He is a native and resident of Botetourt County.

Rader began his career in investment management after graduating from the University of Virginia and worked at Wheat, First Securities and Smith Barney where he helped open the Roanoke office in 2000. In 2010, John co-founded Valley Investment Management where he is a Managing Partner. Valley Investment Management specializes in wealth management, wealth preservation, and investment planning. Valley Investment Management is located in The Bank of Fincastle’s Daleville office.

Rader currently serves as President of the Botetourt County Historical Society, a member of the Botetourt County Electoral Board and is active in Alumni, Athletic and Scholarship organizations at the University of Virginia. He is also a member of Troutville Church of the Brethren where he serves as Treasurer and Moderator.
