Public hearings will be held regarding the following requests. The Planning Commission public hearings will be heard on October 1, 2012; the Board of Zoning Appeals will not meet. The Board of Supervisors public hearings will be held October 23, 2012.

Planning Commission/Board of Supervisors

Fincastle Magisterial District: Steven Edward and Tracy Lee Amonette request to rezone a 10.685-acre lot from a Rural Residential (RR) Use District to an Agricultural (A-1) Use District, with possible proffered conditions, for agricultural uses. The property is located at 325 South Church Street (State Route T-1202), Fincastle, VA, 0.16 miles northeast of the intersection with Roanoke Road (U.S. Route 220), identified on the Real Property Identification Maps of Botetourt County as Section 73A, Parcel 41.

Valley Magisterial District: Ardith R. Overbay requests to rezone from a Business (B-2) Use District to a Residential (R-3) Use District, with possible proffered conditions, for a residential subdivision on a 20.071-acre portion of 22.312 acres for 55 residential dwellings, with a Special Exception Permit with possible conditions for the use of private roads, located on Read Mountain Road approximately 0.18 miles west of the intersection of Read Mountain Road (State Route 654) and Cloverdale Road (U. S. ALT Route 220), identified on the Real Property Identification Maps of Botetourt County as Section 107, Parcels 234 and 234C.
