We believe the Bible is the Word of God, the New
Testament is our guide to living in the present world. The Old Testament is for our learning and leads us to Jesus Christ in whom we have Salvation.

When The Church of Christ had its beginning? A.D. 33
In the Gospel according to Matthew chapter 16 verse 18 Jesus said, “I will build My Church”.  In verse 19 Jesus used the word “Kingdom” in reference to His Church. (Notice the phraseology as naming Jesus as the builder of The Church and it’s future tense.)  Hence the name of The Church denotes sole ownership by Jesus Christ.

Further study finds a reference that Paul made in Colossians chapter 1 verse 13.  God “has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the Kingdom of His dear Son.” (notice for whom The Kingdom is named and the past tense of phraseology.)

Question?  What took place between this future tense and past tense? In Acts 2 verse 47 we find the answer. “and The Lord added to The Church daily such as should be saved.” Read all of Acts chapter 2 and find out what they did.

When The Dale Ridge Church of Christ got its beginning?  A.D. 1989
A group of 20 began meeting at the present location May 3, 1989.  A combined effort of  the Florence, Alabama Church of Christ, the Westside Church of Christ in Salem, Virginia and the Lake Drive Church of Christ in Vinton, Virginia.

As Churches go, we at Dale Ridge have had our struggles maintaining scriptural balance in an ever changing world.

However, with renewed vigor, Dale Ridge Church of Christ is determined to spread the news of the Gospel.  This year, 2012 marks the beginning of a significant level of community involvement, evangelism and missions.  We are capitalizing on what makes us unlike other religious bodies.  Every aspect of our Worship, our Fellowship and our Teaching shows our commitment in becoming Christlike in compassion, love for others and holding to Biblical Truths.
Please, come be a part of this great Church.  See and experience the difference God can make in your life.
You’re always welcome here!
