Fall photography classes at the Greenfield Center
Learn to see the world with a photographer’s eye! The Greenfield Center in Daleville will offer three photography courses this fall. To register for any of the photography classes, call the Greenfield Center at 966-3984. The deadline to register for all photography classes is Sept. 28.
For all three classes: You must provide your own camera and owner’s manual. A 35mm digital SLR camera with at least one interchangeable lens is preferable, but you may use any digital camera with manual capabilities.
The instructor will be Steven Norris, an on-location, natural-light photographer who has served the greater Roanoke, New River Valley and Smith Mountain Lake areas of Southwest Virginia for 20 years.
Basic SLR Photography
A popular series of classes designed to help beginning photographers learn how to effectively operate their cameras and take better pictures. Learn about basic settings and techniques for lighting and composition.
Dates: Tuesdays, October 2 – November 13, 2012 (no class October 30)
Time: 6:30 – 8:30pm
Cost: $80 per student
Night Photography
Discover how night photography can open a whole new world of creative opportunities and can produce some amazing results. A sturdy tripod is recommended.
Dates: Wednesdays, October 3 – November 7, 2012 (no class October 31, will meet October 30 instead)
Time: 6:30 – 8:30pm

Landscape Photography
Learn how to capture the grandeur of what you see in the natural world. A sturdy tripod is recommended.
Dates: Mondays, October 1 – November 5, 2012
Time: 6:30 – 8:30pm
