New River Gorge Bridge Day – Bus Trip

The Botetourt County Parks, Recreation and Tourism is sponsoring a bus trip to the 33rd annual New River Gorge Bridge Day, Fayette County, WV, on Saturday, October 20, 2012.

Professional parachuters will be jumping from the bridge. Many vendors will be set up and provide shopping opportunities. Varied eateries will have booths available. The bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic. You will have an opportunity to walk across this man made engineering wonder. You can visit the New River Gorge Visitors Center and walk the scenic trails to view the bridge.

On the way to the Bridge Day event, the group will travel the scenic Route 460 along the New River through the New River Valley. On the way home, the group will travel through the East Tunnel and take scenic Route 52 byway to Big Walker Lookout.

The price of $59 per person includes: Round trip motorcoach transportation, visits to Bridge Day & Big Walker Lookout and a tour host.

Passengers can board the bus at the Bonsack Walmart, Route 460, Roanoke; at Food Lion, Wildwood Road (Exit 137), Salem, VA; at Hardee’s, Exit 118, Christiansburg, VA.
