After a week of homecoming fun days, on Friday Sept. 14 the Senior Savages won two games to capture the annual Homecoming River Rat Powder Puff football trophy. The sophomores finished second and the freshman and juniors tied for third place. All in fun, the big game was followed by a Pep Rally on the football field.

At 5 p.m. a homecoming parade down Main Street Buchanan will be followed by a tailgate party for students and fans at the JRHS baseball field area prior to the homecoming football game.

The game against Auburn High School  commences at 7 p.m. The Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned at halftime.

On Saturday night the annual homecoming dance will be held at the high school.
