VDOT Road Alert: closure of Rt 656 until Sept. 14
VDOT has issued a traffic alert closure for replacement of bridge
TRAFFIC ALERT: ROUTE 656 IN BOTETOURT COUNTY
TO CLOSE FOR BRIDGE REPAIRS
SALEM – Beginning Monday, Sept. 10, a section of Route 656 (College Drive) in Botetourt County will be closed to replace the bridge over a Branch of Tinker Creek.
This bridge is located on Route 656 between Route 220 and Route 674 (Tinkermill Road)
Detour signs will be posted advising traffic of alternate routes. Motorists are advised to use caution in the area and expect delays.
Weather permitting, Route 656 is estimated to reopen on Friday, Sept. 14.
