Greenfield Elementary School’s annual Fall Festival is Saturday, October 13th from 10 am to 4 pm at the school. The school is located at 288 Etzler Road in Troutville, off of Catawba Road. Voted a “Best of Botetourt” gold winner the last two years for best elementary and middle school event, the Greenfield Fall Festival is an experience not to be missed.

There is something for everyone at the festival. Activities include the famous haunted house, obstacle course inflatable, rock climbing wall, mechanical bull, mechanical surfboard, carnival games, face painting, hair extensions, cake and cupcake walks, book fair and miniature horse cart rides.

An expanded craft and home business show is also part of the festival and includes vendors Scentsy, Kelley’s Kids, Body by Visalus, Pampered Chef, and The Pie Lady. Items available at the craft show include jewelry, wreaths, flower pots, art, scarves, body wraps and more. There will also be homemade pumpkin rolls, candy and home canned pickles available for purchase. The raffle includes items to bid on from Cavalier Auto, CL Asia, Floral Expressions, Kroger, Lil’ Cucci’s, Mill Mountain Coffee and Tea, Papa John’s, PZaz, Three Lil’ Pigs and more. The silent auction grand prize is a Curves gift basket which includes a six month Curves membership.

Food includes BBQ from Smokehouse BBQ, pizza from Little Caesars, hot dogs and nachos by the Greenfield booster club, popcorn, cotton candy and Schwan’s ice cream. There will be a fire truck, ambulance and smoke trailer on site as part of Fire Prevention Week. Children will have the opportunity to work a fire hose from the fire truck. Angels of Assisi will have their mobile adoption unit on site, with pets available for adoption during the festival.

New this year is a demonstration area. Demonstrations with audience participation will occur throughout the day, and include performances by Floyd Ward School of Dance, Guitar Dojo, Ragone’s Kempo Karate School, and Tinker Mountain Music. A costume contest for all children up to 5th grade will occur at 3 pm with a prize for every participant. Ten-ticket wrist bands are available at the door. All proceeds benefit Greenfield Elementary School.

The Greenfield Elementary School PTA would like to thank our sponsors for making this event possible: Advantage Travel and Cruises, Bank of Botetourt, Digital Image Printing, Freedom First Credit Union, Kroger, Lenk Orthodontics, Moretti Family Chiropractic & Wellness, Orchard Hills Church, Professional Therapies Incorporated and Roanoke Cement.
