Botetourt Town and Country Women’s Club project benefits Turning Point
The Botetourt Town and Country Women’s Club organized more than 100 bags of toiletry items and socks in gift bags to be distributed to the women staying at Turning Point. BTCWC regularly collects and donates items needed by Turning Point, a shelter for female victims of domestic violence and their children, sponsored by the Salvation Army. This project is chaired by Public Issues Chairman Freda Wood. Ladies of the organization pictured include Sandy Pauley, Pat Honts, Lois Feathergill, Kathy Nemetz, Nancy Wells, Debbie Coots, Grace Tesaro, Donna Henderson, Diane Taylor, Margaret Jenkins, Linda Emmick, Joanne White, Roblyn Brand, Marlene Keeley and Julie Gladu ( photo by Beth Pappas).
The BTCWC members recently participated in the Bank of Fincastle Appreciation Days. This club is also actively supporting the Botetourt Food Pantry and the Buchanan Food Pantry as their Community Improvement Project. This service club meets at St. Mark’s Church in Daleville on the 4th Monday of every month at 6:30. Ladies of the community interested in participating are invited to attend to learn more about this club.
