Buchanan gets OK to let money flow for water system upgrade
The town of Buchanan water system, plagued by age, leaks, boil-water orders, and even embezzlement, has finally turned the bend toward a major upgrade.
The town was recently approved for an $850,000 low-interest loan from the Virginia Department of Health that will get work under way in mid-November, said Buchanan Mayor Larry Hall.
