Lynnis Vernon of Cloverdale and Harold Orange of Hollins top divisions in golf tournament

Bob Fry of Salem was the overall winner of the Roanoke Valley Senior Golf Tour’s final 2012 tournament played Oct. 16 at Ivy Hill Golf Club in Forest.  Fry, playing in Division 2 (handicaps 14 to 19) carded a net score of 62.  Other Division 2 winners were: 2nd, Keith Moore – 70; 3rd, Mike Barnhill – 70; 4th, Bob Poff – 70; 5th, Patrick Lynch – 70.

Playing in Division 1, (handicaps 0 to 13), Lynnis Vernon of Cloverdale finished 1st Place in his division with a net score of 66.  Other Division 1 winners were: 2nd, Guido Edillon – 66; 3rd, Dick Nelson – 67; 4th, Joe Surkamer – 67; 5th, Gary Buckowsky – 67.

Harold Orange of Hollins recorded a net score of 67 to finish 1st Place in Division 3 (handicaps over 19).  Other Division 3 winners were:  2nd, Robert Huffman – 69; 3rd, David Ford – 70; 4th, Dennis Young – 70; 5th, Jim Wright – 73.

Low Gross honor went to Woody Deans of Southwest Roanoke with a 74.
