Mountain Magic had a great day in Buchanan
Mountain Magic reached across generations down in Buchanan on Main Street Oct. 6. The Town was alive with music, crafts, wares of every sort, food, fun and neighborly conversation. On the northern end of town plenty of antique cars had viewers recalling the good old days when they drove or rode in such a classic or antique vehicle. Art by the James featured many talented young artists. Kiwanis had a fish fry while Mill Creek Baptist Church served just about everything to eat to fund mission trips.
Bank of Botetourt hosted Kazim Klowns under a tent in front of the bank. Everywhere children carried balloon swords fashioned by the krazy krew! Boy Scouts, politicians, other church groups, school groups and plenty of crafters and artisans produced food and fun. Blue Grass music kept people entertained for hours at a stage right near the Town Hall. The Health Dept gave free flu shots. County Administrator Kathleen Guzi and her husband Tom chatted up Mayor Larry Hall as well while thousands roamed the street for the annual event. A good time was had by all!
