LBHS celebrated Teen Read Week Oct 14-20; this week-long national initiative promotes reading for the fun of it. Throughout the week, LBHS teachers and Cavs Read Book Club members “caught” students reading for fun and entered their name in a drawing for a dessert party in the library. Twelve lucky students each lunch, for a total of 36 winners, were selected in a drawing and invited to bring a guest the dessert party. The party took place in the LBHS Library during all three lunches on Friday, 10-19-12. The faculty and Cavs Read Book Club were invited to join the winners. Everyone enjoyed a variety of desserts and great conversation.
