Read Mountain Middle School held a Cap Day for Red Ribbon Week

At Read Mountain Middle School the eighth graders in lunch took time to celebrate a pledge  not to take drugs by wearing caps for Red Ribbon Week! And a fine and interesting group of caps they were, too! All week the students have been participating in prevention activities.

Red Ribbon Week is  promoted across the United States every October. From the National Group. ” Red Ribbon Week is the oldest and largest drug prevention campaign in the country. In 1988 after the murder of a DEA agent, parents, youth and teachers in communities across the country began wearing Red Ribbons as a symbol of their commitment to raise awareness of the destruction caused by drugs.”
