The Roanoke District United Methodist Church had an event in conjunction with the Roanoke Rescue Mission on Sunday Sept. 30. Over 350 Methodist youth and adults listened to two Christian bands, “Relinquish” and nationally known, “The Museum,” play for over 2 hours. The event held in Elmwood Park brought in over 300 new pillows for the Rescue Mission. Matt King of the organization said, “Our need continues to grow.” The Rescue Mission sees about 300 people per night.
Included in the photos are UMYF youth groups from Bonsack, Daleville, Buchanan and Fincastle.
