Blondie is home!

Blondie with Danny Carroll is happily at home again!

She’s baaack!

Blondie disappeared when her owner Danny Carroll had a medical emergency almost three weeks ago. We had a story about how an older couple picked her up from the middle of Lee Highway in Troutville. According to Carroll, this is what happened next.

She was delivered to the SPCA which happened to be closed. The couple who found her in the road, took Blondie to their son who works at the Roanoke Regional Airport, but lives in Waynesboro. It was Blondie’s big adventure. Edward Kline of Waynesboro and his family particularly his 12 year old daughter, pampered Blondie with a vet visit, shots, clip and bath and even painted pink toenails. Last week when the Botetourt View printed the story, Kline was quickly contacted.

He called Carroll and she was returned on Thanksgiving morning. Dressed in a new sweater and a diamond and pink collar, Blondie looked like she had returned from a five star resort!

“I am so happy to have her home. It was like an empty place in my heart,” said Carroll. “I know it  upset his daughter to give  her up. I hope she gets a new dog of her own really soon.” He also said, “I thank them so much for taking care of Blondie and getting her back to me.”
