Colonial Elementary’s Staff Retreat was held Saturday, November 3rd, at Rainbow Forest Baptist Church. Teachers and Instructional Assistants participated in the team building event – decorating new Colonial shirts, competing in various team events, and enjoying breakfast and lunch provided by the PTA. The theme of the day was Laughing With The Stars. The instructional staff was welcomed by a red carpet at the entry way, along with their names in stars on the walk of fame. Special guest, Botetourt County School Board Chairman, Ruth Wallace, shared words of encouragement to the teachers at the end of the day. The goal for the day was laughter…mission accomplished. The staff would like to thank the PTA for sponsoring this event.
