Election report: Strong turn-out at Cloverdale precinct

Some parents brought their children to witness democracy at work in Botetourt's Cloverdale precinct.

By 10 a.m., about one-third of the registered voters at the Cloverdale precinct have cast their ballots — 890 out of 2,655. That’s 33.5 percent.

Election workers at Read Mountain Middle School say at one point they had 75 voters going through in 15 minutes due to the use of electronic poll books.

Read Mountain is also one of the places where you can get a flu shot, too. As of 10 a.m., 120 people have done so.
