Rebecca Smith used to be a library assistant at Fincastle Library. (We even did a story of the former California resident a few years ago.) She retired and is enjoying life. One of the things she  is doing in her craft room at home is making greeting cards. Smith  is holding a class to teach others the simple pleasure of making holiday cards in November. Impressively, the class teaches how to make a matching envelope as well!

The proceeds above cost of materials go to help the Friends of the Library, the class sponsor buy books for the library since the 2012-13 budget is much smaller than last year.

“Anyone can do this and it will be a fun one time class. Come out an learn a new skill,” remarked Smith.
