Kiwanis, Key Clubs and BTEC support 9 local families for Thanksgiving.

Botetourt Kiwanis boxed and delivered the food gathered by BTEC students.

Every year for the past 25 years BTEC students have been collecting food for  the needy in Botetourt County. This year nine families were  to receive a large amount of Thanksgiving food from a turkey to produce, meat and dairy products like eggs, cheese, staples like bread and milk, cranberry sauce, brown sugar, gravy mix, Mayo, peanut butter, potatoes, juice –just a numerous list of items. With the help of Botetourt Kiwanis, Key Clubs from both high schools and volunteers like Jim Bushong  organized tables of food to be boxed and taken to the recipients on Saturday Nov. 17. the Kiwanis club carried the boxes to the homes of the families.

Good job to all involved!
