Lord Botetourt grad Mitch Hanson wins championship with Liberty University football team
Liberty University won the Big South Championship when they beat VMI 33-14!! Three guys from the Roanoke Valley are starters for LU – Mitch Hanson #73, starting right tackle (Lord Botetourt), Josh Woodrum #6, starting quarterback (Cave Spring), and Nick Sigmon #45, starting linebacker (Northside). This was Mitch’s first year as a starter. He is a redshirt sophomore and started all 11 games. This was also Coach Turner Gill’s first year as head coach at LU. To God be the glory!!
