Lunch with Janet Womack, principal at LBHS, is a way to get to know student body

LBHS principal Janet Womack rolls her Principal's Cafe to the library conference room for 3 lunch periods.
The Principal’s Cafe. It sounds like a scene from a movie, but in actuality, Lord Botetourt principal Janet Womack is serving pizza, chips, cookies, drinks and water to students in her “cafe.”
Once per month 15 students sign up to have lunch with her. She said, “I use it as a way to get to know more of the student body.” Womack is the principal of the largest school in Botetourt’s school division with a student body at capacity of 1,100.
“I get to hear from them what they like and don’t like and get to know them a little better.” She goes through all three lunch periods with 15 kids at each time. She is meeting and speaking with 45 students per Principal’s Cafe. “The students get to sign up once and I hope to do this throughout the school year!” she said enthusiastically.

Who pays for that? I bet it doesn’t come out of HER pocket. Stop wasting money, I bet we would be shocked at all the money the Schools waste.
Curious about the menu. A great idea but does Michelle Obama approve?
This sounds like a GREAT investment for student – faculty relationship. Helps to improve educational opportunities, so we can advance for the future. Way to go!
Janet, what a great idea that will pay dividends in all kinds of ways. Who pays makes no difference when students are touched in a positive way that shows respect for them and their ideas. Keep up the good work…I hear lots of positive comments from parents in the Cloverdale area about what is happening now at LB.
