Part of Town of Fincastle Street will be closed Nov. 30 to prepare for 4-Way Stop

In preparation for making the intersection of Springwood Road and Main Street a 4-way stop, some tree trimming needs to be done on Main Street to meet VDOT’s sight distance requirements.   A tree expert is going to trim the trees back tomorrow on the property at the corner of Main Street and Hancock Street. One lane of Main Street between Monroe and Hancock will be closed for part of the day to keep traffic safe from falling tree materials.  In order to minimize the effect on morning school traffic, the work will start at 9:00 a.m. and hopefully be completed by around 12:30 p.m.

Town Manager David Tickner  notified and coordinated with VDOT, the School Board and the Sheriff’s Department.
