Photo: Brownie Troop 958 learns about Siberian Husky Assist Rescue
Buchanan Brownie Troop 958 recently spent the day at Girl Scout’s Camp Icimani in Roanoke County earning the Alaska Council’s Dog Sledding Badge. The Siberian Husky Assist Rescue made it possible for the girls to earn this badge by bringing their dogs and sledding equipment, and educating the girls about the breed, and the history of dog sledding. The Siberian Husky Assist rescues Siberian Huskies from shelters in Southwest Virginia from Roanoke south to Knoxville, Tenn. For more information about their cause, visit their website at www.siberianhuskyassist.com.
