Madison Feltis, 13 years old, shot her first deer on Opening Day of Rifle Season, Nov. 17 while hunting with her dad on private property in Fincastle. She is the daughter of John and Sheila Feltis of Troutville. Madison is an 8th-grade student at Read Mountain Middle School.
