Yep. It is hunting season in Botetourt County. A string of deer were checked in prior to the arrival of a black bear. The bear was not hurt in the weigh in as he was already dead. Alan Carr of Bedford brought the Ursa Americanus in to the Old Mill in Fincastle. The bear was strung up after several tries and came in at 151.6 pounds field dressed. A crowd of the curious gathered round to watch.
Carr plans to eat the bear.
