Nov. 9-11: Junior League of Roanoke Valley Kicks Off Holiday Season with The 24th Annual Stocked Market Holiday Shopping Extravaganza
All proceeds from ticket sales go back into the community through annual grants to area organizations
Roanoke, VA – The Junior League of Roanoke Valley will kick off the holiday season by holding its annual fundraiser The Stocked Market, a three-day shopping event with over 100 merchants held at the Roanoke Civic Center that attracts more than 10,000 attendees each year. Raising more than $2 million dollars in its 23-year history, the Stocked Market is the League’s only major fundraiser with all proceeds from ticket sales funding the League’s annual grants awarded to area organizations.
“The Stocked Market is the perfect way to get your holiday shopping done while helping the community,” said Amy Foster, President of the Junior League. “Each person who visits the Stocked Market is helping to make a difference in the Roanoke Valley and the League greatly appreciates every single person’s support. The holiday season is all about giving, and it is very rewarding after all our hard work of planning for the Stocked Market to see so many members of the community come out to help give back to the community.”
Each year, all the proceeds from the fundraising event benefit area community organizations through grants awarded by the League. Grant recipients have included the Ronald McDonald House, the Rescue Mission, CHIP of Roanoke Valley, Roanoke Area Ministries, DePaul Community Resources and so many more.
The Stocked Market features popular local vendors, such as Chocolate Paper, Pure Spa, and The Gift Niche, as well as vendors from across the country. There’s something for everyone! Exclusive merchandise including unique gourmet foods, fashion apparel, accessories, arts, antiques, home and garden décor, pet products and much more will be for sale.
