2013 recreation matching funds approved by Board of Supervisors

The county funded $15,000 in projects for the Parks and Recreation Incentive Fund Program at the Botetourt County Board of Supervisors regular meeting on Dec. 20. Director Pete Peters and Garland Humphries from the Recreation Commission presented the five items.
BSA Troop 333 Eagle Scout candidates Alex Snyder and Ryan Estep received $3,500 on a project to provide AT style information signs for an $8,000 project.
Central Academy replace the football soccer score board at the cost of $1,369.
Lord Botetourt asked for money to plant Bermuda grass on the soccer /football field. $6,150.
Lord Botetourt replace score board on the baseball field. $1,369.
Greenfield Athletic Club: Install dugout roofing on the baseball and softball fields. $2,612.
The funding totals $15,000 in five projects that total $50, 253. The requests totaled. $24, 353
