Bank of Botetourt announces new employee and promotion

Bank of Botetourt is pleased to announce that S. Shay Stevens has joined the bank as retail and marketing manager. She will be responsible for the development and implementation of all corporate marketing and retail sales.

Stevens has worked in the bank marketing field for more than 14 years. She began her banking career in 1996 as Special Events Coordinator for Peapack – Gladstone Bank in Gladstone, N.J. She was most recently associated with Community Bank in Staunton as marketing director. Stevens is a graduate of Staunton River High School and graduated with a BBA in Marketing in 1996 from Radford University. She is also a graduate of the ABA School of Bank Marketing & Management. She currently resides in Vinton and is an active Board Member of Celebrate Buena Vista.

 

 

Marty Francis

Marty Francis

Marty R. Francis has been promoted to the position of vice president of the business banking division. He will be responsible for the development of business relationships for existing and new customers.

Prior to joining Bank of Botetourt in 1996, he was an intern for the organization and joined the bank full time after graduating from Ferrum College with a BBA in Finance. A Botetourt County native, Francis is also a graduate of James River High School, Virginia School of Bank Management and the Graduate School of Banking at LSU. He is treasurer of the Botetourt County FFA Alumni Group and a member of Springwood Baptist Church. He currently resides in Buchanan with his wife, Elizabeth, and their three children.

Established in 1899, Bank of Botetourt has 10 branch offices located in Botetourt, Franklin, Roanoke and Rockbridge counties.
