Carnival grounds parcels may be conveyed to Buchanan
Carnival ground properties may be conveyed to the Town of Buchanan pending a January Public Hearing.
The County of Botetourt is ready to convey four identified properties that will be in a public hearing in January. The properties are on the carnival grounds in Buchanan and include the food stands and Bingo stand. In the past 60 days the Town has taken over the annual Carnival when the Buchanan Volunteer Fire Department gave up its operation to Botetourt County EMS. The Town is also maintaining the EMS building adjacent to the listed propeties. The Board of Supervisors approved the measure. A public hearing will be held at the January 2013 meeting.
