Tuesday, January 1st, 2013: No Storytime today. The library will be closed in observance of New Year’s Day.

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2013: “Quilty” Pleasures Quilting Club. Do you love quilting or would you like to learn to quilt? If so, join us for this bi-weekly get-together of local quilters and treat yourself to some “quilty” pleasures! 10:00am.

Thursday, January 3rd, 2013: Eagle Walkers (Walking Club).  Start working on that resolution to get in shape! Join us at the Eagle Rock Library every Thursday as we walk our way to better health. 10:00am.

Friday, January 4th, 2013: Craft Time – Sipping Snowman. Winter is here! Come join us as we make a yummy “Sipping Snowman” to take home and enjoy in our hot chocolate. Supplies are limited so sign up for this program at the front desk or call the library at 540-884-3880.  2:45pm.

Tuesday, January 8th, 2013: Storytime – Animals in Wintertime.  How do animals spend the winter? At this fun storytime, we’ll learn all about animals who love the snow and cold!  Sign up for this program at the front desk or call the library at 540-884-3880. 10:30am.

Wednesday, January 9th, 2013: The Knit-Wits Knitting Club. Join other knitters and crocheters from the community for this informal get-together where you can learn, help others to improve their skills, and work on projects in a relaxing environment. Bring your own supplies, projects, tips, and ideas to share. 10:00am.

Thursday, January 10th, 2013: Afternoon Movie – Brave. Join us for an after school showing of the hit animated movie, Brave: Take a heroic journey with Merida, a skilled archer and headstrong daughter of King Fergus and Queen Elinor. Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the unruly and uproarious lords of the land. When Merida’s actions inadvertently unleash chaos in the kingdom, she must harness all of her skills and resources – including her clever and mischievous triplet brothers – to undo a beastly curse before it’s too late, and discover the meaning of true bravery. Friday, January 11th, 2013: Craft Time – Snowman Marble Magnets.  Hey kids! January is the perfect time to celebrate all things winter. Join us and make whimsical glass snowman magnets to decorate your refrigerator with. Sign up for this program at the front desk or call the library at 540-884-3880. 2:45pm.

Monday, January 14th, 2013: Friends of the Library Monthly Meeting. Join our Friends Group and learn how you can help raise funds and support for the library. 6:00pm.

Tuesday, January 15th, 2013: Storytime – – Three Little Kittens Lost Their Mittens. Come enjoy the classic tale of those three silly kittens that couldn’t keep track of their winter mittens.  We will be making a fun kitten and mitten craft.
