Fincastle Community Christmas Pageant a great success
On Dec. 16, 2012, Fincastle Presbyterian Church was the site of a community ecumenical pageant written and directed by a local teen, Piper Gaul. A packed house attended the play. The Christmas story is told by a roving reporter in Bethlehem covering the events of the night Christ was born. The play was interspersed with audience participation Christmas Carols to describe the unfolding scene.
The play performed by children and youth from four Fincastle area churches. Gaul is a junior at Lord Botetourt and an accomplished filmaker as well. The four churches included, Fincastle Presbyterian Church, Fincastle United Methodist Church, The Church of the Transfiguration and St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.
