“Run, Devil Run” almost finished, looking for funds through Kickstarter
Here is an update on a movie produced by two Botetourt men and featuring several Botetourt participants. We had a story this summer.
“Run, Devil Run” the latest movie created by Cameron Dalton and directed by Ian Kyle is almost finished. “The editing process is requiring more funding,” said Kyle last week in Daleville. “We have engaged an editor for the finished project.”
The childhood friends have produced a 23 minute film. View the new trailer on the movie or visit the movie Facebook page here.
Beginning the first of January funding can be provided to the project through a website called kickstarter.com. It a way that many artistic projects including independent films, find venture capital for their projects. They are hoping to raise $1,000. By using Kickstarter, it spreads around the amount of contributions. If the needed funding is not secured in a 30 day period, not one dime is kept.
The story surrounds how drug abuse can effect all of those close to the user. It was filmed in Downtown Roanoke and Old Southwest. The previous movie the two filmed was “Pragul Marti,” a 19th century Dracula movie set in Fincastle. “Pragul Marti,” has been featured in the Blue Ridge Film Festival as well as shown at the Grandin Theatre and in Fincastle.
