Six JRHS athletes commit to sports on the next level
Six James River High School athletes, Kayla Hannah, Casie Hill, Jessica Simmons,Taylor Locke, Korey Watts and Reanna Hamm have committed to play athletics on the college level. Athletic Director Sheila Proffitt exclaimed , ” It is remarkable that a school of 500 students could produce six students going to play on the next level.
Three are softball players. Hill, will go to James Madison University; Simmons, West Virginia State University and Hannah to Emory and Henry. Locke will also attend Emory and Henry to play volleyball. Watts will play golf at Radford University and Hamm will participate in Track and Field at Radford University.
Coaches, parents and well wishers watched as the six committed to athletics on the next level. Said principal Jamie Talbott, We are as proud of you for the sportsmanship you have always exhibited on the field. You have represented James river High school well.
