BCHA meeting changed to January 15

Botetourt County Horseman’s Association (BCHA) has made a date change for their first meeting of the year. BCHA will host its first meeting of the year on January 15, 2013 at Bellacino’s in Daleville at 7 p.m. Dr. Wynne DiGrassie and Dr. Scott Reiners of Mountain View Equine Hospital will speak about the latest updates in equine medicine and prevention of equine illnesses, treatments for lameness issues, and the latest technologies available for treatment or diagnosis. As owners of a full surgical and ambulatory equine hospital located in Augusta County and serving Roanoke and the Botetourt area, Dr. DiGrassie and Dr. Reiners bring invaluable experience and knowledge and will follow their talk with a question and answer period for horse owners. This event is open and free to the public.

BCHA will host a variety of activities and educational speakers in 2013 including the popular BCHA Horse Tack ‘n Trade in April and October, trail rides and hunter paces, a clinic this summer, and the 16th annual BCHA Open Horse Show in September. For more information or details on activities throughout the year., email BCHA at horses@BCHA-VA.com or visit them online at www.BCHA-VA.com or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/BCHA-VA.
