Congressman Goodlatte announces academy nominations
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Bob Goodlatte announced today that he has nominated the following student to a military academy. This student would enter in the fall of 2013 and be a member of the graduating Class of 2017.
Brandon Gil, son of Lawrence and Kimberly Gil, is a current senior at Lord Botetourt High School and a resident of Daleville. He has been nominated to the United States Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs.
“It is my honor to nominate Brandon to compete for an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy. The Academies provide students the opportunity to receive a top-notch educational experience and join the world’s finest fighting force. Upon appointment, I am confident he will serve our country with distinction. Folks in Botetourt County can be proud of Brandon’s hard work. I wish him the best and thank him for his willingness to serve this great nation,” said Goodlatte.
