Drew Nichols thanks former coaches in Botetourt for his success
Manteno High School junior Drew Nichols has been one of 60 players selected to participate in the Super 60 Pro Showcase on Feb. 3 in McCook.
Invitations are extended to the top prep baseball players in Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Kentucky. The event gives professional scouts a look at top high school players.
The event is in its 11th year, and since its inception, more than 120 of its players have been drafted by major league teams.
Nichols also worked out on Monday for Texas Rangers scouts, along with 20 other top prospects, at the Bo Jackson Elite Sports Complex in Lemont. (The Daily Journal)
