I visited the Little Valentine’s Cafe during my lunch break yesterday, and it was a surprisingly fun little event. The atmosphere was very inviting, and a lot of work had obviously been put into the decorations. It was definitely festive. I enjoyed browsing through the goodies that were for sale from local businesses, and bought a few too many treats because it was for a good cause. My lunch was delicious. I ordered the chili and baked potato, but also tried a piece of the ham sandwich because I was curious. It sounds a bit questionable, but what a great combination of flavors! The apple butter was wonderful. I really hope they had a decent turn out. It’s a shame that events like these usually only attract people in a certain demographic. It’s also too bad that the Troutville Town Hall has no designated parking.
