Public Information Session on February 27 in Buchanan, Virginia. Tour to Welcome 1,600 Travelers to Region for Six Days in June

(Richmond, VA) January 31, 2013 — The Bike Virginia Tour will host a Public Information Session about the event on February 27 at the Buchanan Theater in Buchanan, Virginia from 6-8pm.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the event, have their questions answered, and see proposed bicycling routes for the June 21-26 tour. Each year the tour, which is now in its 26th year, selects a new location based on scenery, history, local activities, and amenities. This year the route will take cyclists on a beautiful adventure in the region from Lexington/Buena Vista to Botetourt/Roanoke. Local civic groups in those communities will have the opportunity to raise money, and area tourist destinations will be able to draw cycling visitors to their attractions.
