Upcoming Valentine’s Day events from Botetourt Parks & Rec

The Little Valentine’s Cafe will be held Thursday, Feb. 14 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Town Hall in Troutville.

Purchase special bakery items for valentines from many local area bakeries including European pastries from the Bread Craft Artisan Bakery and the fabulous cupcakes from the Cupcake Cottage. Chocolates and many more treats await you along with flower arrangements and lunch. This little cafe is the perfect opportunity to buy a gift for someone special. Free children”s activities will be available. Purchase $1 Raffle tickets for a beautiful Valentine”s Day basket with many special treats from The Fresh Market.

Dine in our special cafe setting, or take your lunch as carry out. Lunch costs $6.50 per plate, including beverage and options include Spice It Up (chili and baked potato with chips) or Ham It Up (ham, swiss cheese, apple slices & apple butter sandwich with chips). Lunch can be pre-ordered on Feb. 14 between 9 and 11 a.m. Please call Helen at 330-3863. This event is sponsored by Together for Troutville and proceeds will be used to fund the VDOT placement of the Designated Appalachian Trail Community road signs.

Ernie Dale of Roanoke Tours will be hosting a Valentine Dinner Theater on Feb. 14 at Cici”s Pizza, 1413 Towne Square Blvd., NW, Roanoke, VA 24012. The cost to attend the event will be $5 per person at the door and includes an all you can eat salad bar, pasta bar, pizza bar, dessert bar, beverage bar, tax and entertainment by Lifesong. The remaining cost of the meal will be underwritten by the Modern Woodmen of America who will be sponsoring the event. This event is for singles, widows, widowers and couples. Also, Roanoke Tours will be going to Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theater on Feb. 13 to see the matinee showing of “Valentines With Elvis” in Wytheville.

On Feb. 16, join Ernie Dale as Roanoke Tours travels to Walnut Cove, N.C. to see “Valentines at Hillbilly Hide-A-Way.” Prior to the show, the bus will stop at Madison Mercantile.
